AI liveries taking up computing power

How do I get the AI liveries to not be the base model. I thought setting isAirTraffic=1 and isUserSelectable=0 on the liveries that I downloaded would render them from being the real model. For example, I still see wiper blades running and cockpit alive in those AI’s. Any guidance appreciated. Thank u in advance.

I’m sorry, I’m not quite sure what you’re asking to do here?

Are you trying to get the livery in question to be usable by you or by Air Traffic?

If you want it to be usable by you … isUserSelectable has to =1 … 1 means yes, 0 means no.

If you don’t want it to be used as AI air traffic, isAirTraffic should =0.

But this only works if you have the “Use Generic Aircraft” = yes in your options under traffic. If it is off, then MSFS ignores everything and chooses whatever it wants for Air Traffic. So you end up with 20 Bleriot XI’s all over your airfield, or Spitfires or P-40’s dug into the ground, but none of the planes you actually want to show up as parked aircraft where you set the isAirTraffic = 1. sigh.

Thank u kindly for the reply. I need clarification, when u said, Generic Aircraft” = yes, where do I find that? Is it when I go into msfs or are u referring to the “aircraft” notepad file that is in SimObjects folder in the liveries that I download?

Yes, exactly. Sorry I said Yes instead of On.

I have problems when I turn this on, but, think it’s related to the fact I have old liveries on my system that need to be upgraded to the latest rev. A while back Asobo changed the texture maps of some of the planes, and I bet I still had some of the liveries created prior to that.

Supposedly, if “Use Generic Plane Models” is on, it respects the isAirTraffic variable.
