Yes. Then there is also a long load time for the Traffic Controller that you have to launch after your are in your plane. All told it probably adds 10-15 minutes to getting MSFS loaded and traffic loaded.
Hi Kaiii3,
Congrat for this amazing addition to the sim! This was hightly anticipated!
Question: Can the AIG app reuse FSX traffic files and models? I still have about 15G of models and liveries, and the flightplans (Aircraft xx.txt, Airport.txt, Flightplans.txt and a copy of the compiled plans in .BGL) on which I dedicated so mcuh time in the past.
Thanks!
interesting…testing it both ways and it is still working.
personally I start it just after i click ‘‘fly’’, so its loading at the same time as my flight. it take a bit longer than msfs(but way quicker than waiting for msfs to finish loading), so when its done, traffic inject itself correctly
Thank you so much man. After hours of frustration, planes finally loaded in
AIG have stated that you should have the traffic set to OFF, not offline as you keep posting. If you have to have Offline enabled something is wrong with your installation.
Is there a way to load pre Su20 plans? Alot of the plans for major airlines are 2021.
yes, confirmed it. Do not need “offline” as it tries to use the old bgls from the game…my mistake.
Finally got it all running and working. I must say what a difference it makes to bringing the airport to life! No more barren wastelands.
If I had to report any feedback its that I’ve noticed the traffic controller has closed/crashed by it self a couple of times and the few airports I tested there isnt much landings going on rather there are more departures. This may have been due to time of day I am spawned at the gate.
Well done AIG team!
Landing takes quite along time to spawn, but you will see them.
When I first launched AIG, I remember looking at the flightplans page of installed items and there was only a plan called “traffic-something…” which didn’t belong to OCI (the relevant checkbox was disabled). I suspect it was preinstalled by default. As I was trying to figure out how to install/uninstall online FPs via OCI, I accidentally removed that “traffic-something” plan.
Any idea if it was something vital? I remember checking its details and it had something like 10,000 airports, so perhaps removing it wasn’t the right thing to do and I’ve not idea how to reinstate it (except setting up AIM again, which I’d rather not).
The program is really slow, installing ~150 airlines took about 4 hours. I am not sure about the reason but it looks like it just can’t use the CPU’s potential, only one CPU core is used.
Here 800 in 4 hrs…so not sure it is this program. Issue might be on your own side.
Oh ■■■■, I think realized now what it was… I removed file trafficAircraft.bgl from “…\Official\OneStore\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic”.
Apparently other had had the same issue as well: AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS - quick first steps (video) - Page 13 - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - The AVSIM Community
AIM will delete the file without even sending it to the recycle bin. I’ll have to try and get is from someone else.
I followed all the steps to install the AIG traffic I have some problems.
-
AI traffic in the game do not have the engine sound, all the AI traffic is just muted like a ghost, also all the AI traffic only spawned at the gate and taxi out
-
I never saw any traffic spawned in midair cruising and approach. So all the airports only have departure traffic without approaching traffic.
I injected for an hour it seems many traffic depart but do not spawn any traffic to land.
Hello
delete all .zip archives in the AIG_AIManager_1.1 and Resources folder
delete all .zip archives in the AIG_TrafficController and Resources folder
a short question: is there a way AIGTC getting started automatically when the sim is ready for flying? I tried it loaded via addonlinker but this method didn’t work: the linker loads it immediately and this seems way too early. So I have to start the tool manually. Is there a known way to have it automatically?
Unfortunately no. But it’s in Beta so hopefully in the future
search the forum with exe.xml
