Can anyone tell me how to update Airac in the default Boeing 787-10, 747-8 and A-320 in MSFS.
Mine displays Oct18 to Nov 4-2020.

The AIRAC cycles are updated as required on patch releases. The new cycle will likely come in update 6.

Many thanks for your quick response. Appreciated.
Will await Update 6.

If you subscribe to Navigraph, their beta programme supports MSFS2020 now and will keep you updated with the very latest cycles.
2012 was released a few days ago, for Navigraph.
I am slightly confused. I have Navigraph beta for MSFS with the latest Airac which Navigraph installed
in my Community folder. My original question was how to update the Airac data displayed in the FMS
(or maybe I didn’t explain it properly). I assume that the Airac data in my Community folder relates to
Airport and other data only not specific aircraft.
Angernerve are the 2 other responses relevant to my original question?
Confirmation would be appreciated when time permits.

You can’t. The strings are hard-coded. Even if you have the updated AIRAC data, the FMC will still display as if you had the outdated database.
Hi,
what do you mean here?
the ident page in the FMCs (effective cycle number, effective date, provider,…) - which can’t be updated, because its a hardcoded page - so you must wait on a patch …
or from the data it self? - this can be updated due the Navigraph updates, monthly on the exact AIRAC dates, without a patch from ASOBO
I guess #1 was the original question of the OP, therefore the valid answer - not possible due hardcoded strings and updateable only with a ASOBO patch.
Hope that helps to clarify the question.
Richard
Hey,
Well, I’m not code-savvy but I assume the data is not something that is hardcoded as navigraph can completely overwrite NavData as far as I’m aware - not just supplement it - without the need for Asobo to do anything. As for what is displayed in the information page regarding AIRAC information, I really haven’t checked so I can’t give an answer as to whether or not that textual data would change in a given aircraft.
Hope that helps.
So NavBlu do not in fact update the data regularly as they said they would?
Thanks for all your responses.
After much exploring the Navigraph beta forum I can confirm that the advice conveyed above
by NavData is correct as posted by him in his forum.

That. IOW, when I updated to the latest AIRAC via Navigraph, the FMC was still telling me I had the old database. I believe that this is because instead of detecting the database version, the current implementation is just to hard code the string and then update it in conjunction with updating the in-game NavBlue database.
I may look into seeing if this can be fixed this in A32NX (assuming it isn’t already being looked at). This isn’t a huge issue, but it is annoying for Navigraph users.
Yes, the FlyByWire guys are also working on this because I´m with you, it´s not very professional but we are the wrong team for such development - we simple haven´t the knowledge of this. Therefore we need the support of you folks, of such guys from FBW, … it should be for all a win-win situation and we also support everyone, where we can … (when we can )
Thank you, Richard
