On loading into cold and dark, the Airbus is already shutting down. (Even in safe mode.) What I mean here, is that the aircraft systems are all operational as it loads, onto the parking bay, then the systems and the engines all shut down automatically. You then have to add a flight plan manually, as the one created is deleted. Is this a known issue?

Airbus A310 is study level. You need to enter flight plan manually or use simbrief. World map route doesn’t work for this aircraft
That’s not the issue here! I get that now that you have to manually enter the FP. What I’m talking about is that the aircraft is already running at launch not cold and dark.
It has been observed and mentioned in various threads.
There is definitely something about how the A310 goes through the C&D initialization process that really exacerbates the issue. I’ve noted some similar behaviors in other aircraft, but the symptoms seem far less pronounced.
For example, when the Boeing 247D is loading, I’ll hear a warning horn (gear up perhaps?) go off shortly before the loading screen switches to the “Click to Fly’ screen. There are other examples. I know another user has commented on the Longitude, for example.

It’s not actually loading in started unless you are on the runway. I don’t know why it does that weird thing of appearing to shut down when loading in at a gate

Yes i have noticed the same issue since the beginning.
Everything is on when the camera is turning around the plane.
Then when we press the button to start we can clearly hear the engines shutting down and the cabin light turning off.
It’s a bug.
It should start in cold and dark, the minor bug when you load into the flight at a stand is you hear the engines running but then it goes cold and dark as expected.
