But I’ve also come to a problem or maybe I’ve missed smt but I can’t find where to download/update my A320Neo wth the avionics update 3
My XBX has just frozen. Can’t get into FS at all, even with a reboot, it just hangs on the startup screen…
Can’t even restart now from the menu, I had to button it
A very good update. I did a 4 hours flight and haven’t noticed any bugs or oddities. Considering it’s a free aircraft the level of fidelity is awesome. The only thing I’m a bit unsure about are the engine sounds. I agree with @AYRTONS3NNA that they seem to be too high/loud.
I’ve noticed the landing lights are hardly visible from the external view. They light up the ground or parts of the plane but can’t be see as they should be. Obvious when compared to the TO light.
The cabin lights are only visible on the RHS of the plane too.
Nice Work. For me the update is brilliant. The aircraft flies excellent. Thank you…
On XBox; seems to be working better today after the small update. I was able to use my Simbrief plan as usual with no initial loading freezes this time. Aside from the lighting issue that others have mentioned, everything appears normal, with the following (small) exceptions:
I’ve noticed on the ECAM that there is a message saying “TCAS STBY”; initially it’s green prior to takeoff, but then changes to yellow afterwards, despite having set it to TA/RA:
Again, not a big deal, but did I miss something/do something incorrectly?
Just did a test flight from KLGA/KCLE, and when I received instructions from ATC for approach, when I went to check the MCDU, it froze on me again; plane was still flying, but all displays and controls were locked up. I’m thinking this might be a one-off thing, so I’m going to do another flight just to be certain.
Last question (I promise!): I also fly the PMDG 737, and in that plane at times i need to rebalance the fuel. Is this possible to do in the A320 v.2? Sometimes the numbers are a bit off between the left and right (not too much, though), and tried to do it like a Boeing, but doesn’t seem to work. Once again, not a big deal, but just curious…
To turn ON TCAS and to remove the TCAS STBY message, you must turn on altitude reporting, which is the third knob on the transponder, turning it on from off. One of those fixes they added, similar to having to turn on the COMM switch, pushing in the volume button and making sure it is lit and turned all the way up.
Strange…I still can’t get my flight plan to load. After requesting it just says “Error downloading data”.
Turn on the ATC knob to ON and then TCAS to TARA
Are you sure you are using your SimBrief numerical pilot ID in both the CDU and the EFB? Last update changed it from SimBrief name to Pilot ID#.
Yep; I thought it was me!
Thank you @scobbTDCtv & @nDrew95 ; I’ll give it a go on my next flight!
I haven’t changed the way I load a flight plan or login…I still have my username but sounds like you’re saying it’s different now?
F-PLN page is a mess.
10k speed lim pseaudo waypoint is in wrong place, I.e. listed before a waypoint at which the aircraft is predicted to be lower than 10k.
Waypoints during cruise the SPD on F-PLN page randomly goes to IAS instead of Mach when it’s already given a Mach number and the speed is the same.
Vertical guidance symbology on ND is extremely poor: For example, Level off symbols, and path intercept symbols either in wrong place or non-existent.
The aircraft feels very typical of inibuilds to me. It can get you A-B sure. But the moment you start looking into the systems it is pretty full of junk. You constantly have to be babysitting the aircraft and not trusting anything it indicates it will or will not do.
You are supposed to enter your Simbrief pilot ID # - which in my case is a 7 digit number that I believe was automatically assigned when I created my account - in the EFB and MCDU. NOT you user name or alias. You can find your pilot ID under your Simbrief account info.
I’m new to this plane, so maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’m getting a navigation accuracy downgraded message on the mcdu. Also after loading my flight plan from Simbrief the auto pilot fails to follow it. It just flies at 360 and changing the heading selector doesn’t change the course of the airplane.
hi
there is an excellent manual for the plane
normal, you probably need to align your navigation system to the gps, and you
was it a dotted line?
Follow the checklists and make sure you are setting your IRS knobs to NAV.
That’s the dome lights, not the main panel flood lights.
