Hello all, I must inform you of some problems regarding the flight of some or almost all the planes,
The planes: C700 Longitude, C25B CJ4, BE350Ti, CRJ7 and TBM930 after takeoff begins to Bank both side (Roll) and becomes uncontrollable. Like a broken wing greeting, I did some tests before writing to you removing the flight attendants and removing the JOYSTICK (THRUSTMASTER) to see if this was the reason or the issue, after several tests with different configurations and aircraft the problem persists. Premium Deluxe Edition.
Autopilot off /On
Only with the Cessna C172, the inconvenience was minor or hardly felt.
Note: Everything working well a standard Edition MSFS2020.
I have always had this issue in Premium Deluxe trying to fly with the default keyboard. Does not want to fly straight and level at all. After a lot of fighting it I have learned some really nuanced moves with keys 4, 5 and 6, but it is constant and not really enjoyable. Bring the mouse back!
I just downloaded and tried the FG-1D from Milviz and it was doing a roll to the left once the wheels were up. I have not flown any other aircraft to see if this is a sim issue or this particular plane after the SP1 update. Prior to the SP1 update it flew more controllably as did the C208. But that was 10 or so days ago.
Its easy Mode, It is good to note that on the same PC I have my brother’s account that has the standard and mine Premium Deluxe Edition in my brother’s account, everything is fine.
You might find the history of the Corsair and other big single engine taildragging aircraft, interesting. Quite a few airmen were lost in training in WWII because of P-factor, gyroscopic precession, and torque. They all line up against you in an airplane like the Corsair. P-factor tries to turn you left as you apply power with the tail down. Gyroscopic precession tries to turn you left as the tail comes up, and torque tries to roll you left as the engine turns the prop clockwise looking at it from behind. Pilots on takeoff would occasionally put too much power in before they had the airspeed to have some control authority and they would also roll over to the left.
It’s how it really flys and the sim is replicating that.
The question is, did the flight model change when SP1 was released?
It flew ok before. Now it feels unstable like something did not update properly.
The sudden change after the update is what concerns me.
I tried again last night to take off from KPDX on an 8000’ runway so I could ease into the throttle over a longer period. Once the wheels lifted it rolled left even with full right aileron input and full right rudder.
Yes, P-factor was tremendous from the 13’ diameter propeller. But these aircraft could go to full throttle in a few seconds while taking off from a carrier deck without rolling left at lift off.
Check if you have multiple inputs like game pads etc. Had this case and everytime it was caused by the game pad, which was connected to the pc, whilst my Rudder and Hotas was connected.
No my friend, Idont have game pad , Even I did it without the Joystick (disconnected ) and it follows the same problem, I think it must be something with the penultimate update.
This post appeared in Community Events, which is for group events such as scheduling and announcing Multiplayer flights. This has been moved to #community:general-discussion-feedback.
My first flight was with a friend of my parent’s that flew off carriers during the Vietnam Conflict. 35 years later I was certified SEL.
I think what I may be missing is the stall characteristics. With the update the pilots view has changed. I now see instruments and over the nose where before all I saw was out over the nose. My visual perspective has changed. I need to watch my airspeed and keep the plane on the ground longer. I may have been airborne sooner than the plane was ready to be controlled in 3 dimensions.
I thank you all for taking the time to try to help with the matter.
I will try to explain so that it is understood correctly.
First of all, I had previously flown all these models that I point out in the article and they worked well.
2. It is a SIM problem, I already did tests: With Joystick and without it, With Autopilot and without Autopilot.
3. I did tests with the Standard version and same PC it worked fine.
4. On my son’s laptop with this version ( Premium Deluxe Edition) and the problem is presented on both PCs with the account " Premium Deluxe Edition"
5. I am a real Airline Transport Pilot and I am flying the C700 Cessna Citation Longitude and its colleague the C680A Latitude.
6. So.. I realize that when the aircraft starts to create lift, there is a slight hit on the controls (Ruder and ailerons) apparently the manufacturer designed it like that, to help the newbies and maybe in some update this is bringing the problem .
