Now, I don’t fly too many aircraft types and, until recently, all of those that I did use were GA and I had applied the same registration code to all of them. Worked fine until SU12 when I was suddenly subjected to default registrations. As a consequence of that I, for the first time in ages, delved into the ‘Customisation’ element of the aircraft selection drop down and set my aircraft registration for the selected aircraft. Worked fine (although I remain annoyed by the way that selected Call Signs are ignored). I have recently started to fly the BAe Hawk T1 and entered the Customisation menu again and selected the aircraft registration XX331 and a military style call sign (Viper73), not really expecting that to work. What I also didn’t expect was that XX331 would be applied to every aircraft that I selected thereafter. Because I inserted the same reg for all of my civil aircraft I hadn’t realised that whatever I selected would be applied fleet wide.
Personally, I consider this to be a bug. The customisation option appears in the drop down when a “particular” aircraft is selected and any “customisation” should be applied to that aircraft only AND if a call sign is entered that should be used by ATC when dealing with that aircraft. Is it a bug?
I know that it isn’t a huge issue in the greater scheme of things, just another one of those very irritating and frustrating itches that needs to be scratched. Or am I missing something ![]()
