The Caribou is definitely there for me. It’s at the very start of the list named Aircraft.ui_manufacturer or something like that.
The whole library list is messed up. For instance, most of the Carenado aircraft are variants of the C170 for me. That will change based on which aircraft you own.
And if a plane is a variant, it’s not searchable. The Mooney is there, but search says it’s not.
I’m going to have to go through every plane to figure out which planes I have.
Hopefully the library UI is still overideable with liveries so I can separate out and organize the planes the way I like. For instance, I currently don’t like that the floatplanes are variants of their wheeled counterparts as it makes it hard for me to remember what planes I have.
And hopefully they improve search so it searches on all fields and within variants.
It wasn’t there for me yesterday - the first aircraft in my list are several ATR variants, at least as of yesterday evening. I haven’t checked today and likely won’t until after Thanksgiving stuff is done. Maybe not until tomorrow.
I own Bunny but last I checked didn’t have it. I’ll have to check again today. But at least if you have them that means they should all be coming over eventually. That’s good news at least. I was starting to wonder if we were just getting stuck with the new paint schemes.
For one, many aircraft in the sim pre-date ICAO, were built in such limited numbers, don’t exist in any airworthy capacity, etc. that they do not even have an actual ICAO model designation.
Like the multitude of “made up” ICAO-named US airports in the sim, we now have made up ICAO model designators for aircraft like the Dornier Do X or the Hughes H4 Hercules, etc., and those are used for the sort order?
I’m missing the Beech 18, Caribou, Husky, Junkers, Ford Trimotor …
I tried to move files from 2020 One Store without success. I tried finding them hidden as variants without success. I wish there was some kind of notification from Asobo about this.
A lot of people are saying these planes are missing. I purchased the Aviator edition. I have all those planes except for the Husky, which I never purchased and isn’t in the Aviator edition.
Yes, i talk about market place “official” releases…not imported community planes.
I think too that these planes probably require some extra work because of their custom code.
You have the JU-52, AN-225, Staggering, Beech 18 and Tri-Motor in your list of aircraft to select in Free Flight? So far as I’m aware, no one in the various threads has ALL of these, and most people posting don’t seem to have any of them yet. I did see a V1 Simulations stream flying the Beech 18 but it’s sure not in my FS2024 aircraft list yet.
Yes, I have all of them. The ones I’ve tested are working.
@Gairwina I don’t think the Carenado planes have much custom code. And yes, I see all those planes that everyone is asking about. I’m not sure about the AN-225, but I think so, the DO-X, yes, etc.
I live outside Boston with 1GB internet and a 4090 in my desktop and laptop. I purchased the Limited Collectors version and just got my code on Wednesday.
Same here. In my case, The Ovation, Senca, Waco, Seminole, Skymaster and Arrow III, are all variations of the same aircraft. It was shown as the Ovation initially.
This launch has been nothing close to what was promised. Other than the release date. I’m sick of them being slow to get off the ground and give us content only to then disable it again.
It looks like I’m missing a number of planes as well - several of the Legends, the big Antonov, etc. I don’t have many third-party planes via the Marketplace; the few I do have are all there (I think).
I just picked up the Aviator Edition and only one of the 30 Local Legends/Famous Flyers shows up., and that is one of the few I purchased for MSFS2020.
I keep reading that missing aircraft is a known issue that will eventually be fixed. However for only 1 out of 30 to show up is just unbelievable.
We’re going to have to wait for the developers and/or marketplace team to update all the 2020 aircraft with the new fields in the aircraft.cfg required for 2024.
For the Caribou, scroll all the way to the beginning. It’s currently called “Aircraft.ui_manufacturer DHC4 Caribou” if you have it. Some people haven’t received it, even though it’s available.
