Hi all. In the absence of official Bush Trips in MSFS 2024, I have been experimenting with Bush Trips that I previously flew in MSFS 2020, and dragging them into the 2024 Community Folder.
So far, I have had some success with the excellent series of ‘World Tour’ Bush Trips from Gamer4805 on flightsim.to. I was able to add these trips and their few bits of custom scenery into 2024 and apart from the Navlog, everything worked as expected using the standard DA62.
I now have an issue attempting to fly the Frontech ‘Columbia River Bush Trip.’ The trip from flightsim.to uses the C172 G1000 in the Kenmore livery, but when I try to start this flight in MSFS 2024 it doesn’t work because the aircraft is not available.
So, I would like to update the FLT file and use the standard Asobo C172 Skyhawk G1000, but I can’t seem to find the correct layout of the name to use in the FLT file such that MSFS 2024 recognises this standard aircraft.
Is there a list of the correct aircraft ID’s anywhere that MSFS 2024 will recognise so that I can fly this trip please? I have tried searching the forum and online, but I can’t find anything specific to 2024. I was able to update the aircraft to the DA62, but that doesn’t work in this particular Bush Trip as the trigger for ending each leg is that the battery and ignition must all be turned off.
It would be great to fly the trip in the DA 62, but I guess that would mean further tinkering with the files to get it to recognise Master Electrics Off as the end of leg trigger. Frankly I’d rather just be able to fly it in the 172 G1000 with a simple update of the plane ID in the FLT file.
Thanks for any thoughts and assistance.
