Aircraft not showing up in Community

Aircraft downloaded from flightsim.to and entered into Community will not show up in game aircraft?

I installed steam/MSFS2020 in Ext Drive E: and all other msfs 2020 systems are working fine but yet no aircraft. I searched for other community folders and found one in E: but no aircraft in that folder. I put it into the community folder with all the other aircraft downloaded were installed? HELP

Unfortunately, I have found this to be a common problem.

i can only suggest to check compatibility and try ‘reinstalling’ it.

I have entered the aircraft in community and it is not showing in the aircraft selection. I have installed the msfs2020 into the E: drive its an external HD but msfs 2020 runs fine and have had no issues. I think it is because there are what seems to be more than one community showing in various areas??

At least one of them has no entries. this is the one showing under E: but entereing the aircraft into this folder does nothing. All other add-on’s are in the other community folder showing and working all add-on’s just fine. I have had no problems with community on another computer which is installed in D: drive as far as add-on’s.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I know in some installss it says go through App data but I do not see that on this computer? I have gone and used the Developer mode to find the packages folder and the community folder with all other aircraft listed. I am entering the right folder with sim objects and the two other lines needed.

Personal Comments and Observations - this is not a Technical Support Response

Locate the file named Usercfg.opt. Open it using any text editor. Locate the last line in the file. That is the Packages Path that MSFS2020 is looking at to determine Official Packages were downloaded during install that’s the base sim plus any optional content you chose - i.e., World Updates, Aircraft, Scenery) and the Community folder.

i.e., C:\Users\Bob\Packages

If you navigate to that folder, you will see a Community and an Official folder underneath Packages. That’s the Community folder the sim is referencing.
