Here are some comments of mine on the UI, from another thread:
"(…) Aside from the stability, infrastructure and performance issues rightly raised by many, I’d like to emphasize a few aspects of the UI that are arguably a regression from MFS2020 and are in dire need of improvement, or perhaps total rethinking:
-
Aircraft thumbnails vary in perspective, zoom level and are otherwise unflattering and fail to deliver a convincing sense of scale. Placeholder material here, truly surprising;
-
Menus are unresponsive all across the board, but especially when flipping through the (too many) screens pertaining to aircraft selection and configuration. Each click leads to a couple of seconds of nothing, and then a slow and often somewhat choppy animation, and then we’re presented with a half-textured aircraft model. MFS2020 was nothing like this.
Even in the context of a cloud-centered service, I strongly believe that having more data downloaded in advance and stored locally would remedy some of the latency issues with the UI; -
The “Controls” menu and the keybinding process is, frankly, unfit for purpose. Slow, confusing, redundant, a regression from the passable setup we had in the previous sim;
-
Several of the liveries are mislabeled, i.e. the Malaysian Airlines livery for the A330 is currently labeled as “American Airlines” in the UI."
