Aircraft shake when using Drone Follow

Hi All,

I’ve been using the Drone Follow option with other aircraft, which looks great when on the ground, or just above the runway, but when the aircraft is in the air, and I use the Drone to follow the locked in aircraft, the Aircraft i’m following shakes violently back and forth. It’s not wind shake. It looks a bit like latency or something that causes it. I’ve got a good Internet connection though, and my PC is a relatively high end build and get reasonably good frame rates above 30 FPS. The FPS doesn’t drop when i’m following the other aircraft, but the aircraft shakes like crazy. This makes it impossible to make a nice smooth video.

Is this a MSFS bug, or am I potentially doing something wrong.

I’m basically going into the Drone Camera, and then choosing target aircraft by doing a CTRL Pg Up, or CTRL Pg Down to lock onto another aircraft.

My specs are as follows.

I9 10900K CPU
3080 GPU
32 GB 3200 Mhz (4 x 8GB)
100 Mb/s Internet Connection

Everything else works fine. The shaking is just jarring when you’re following an aircraft.

Any Suggestions?

Prop plane or all planes? If you use the cam on the ground with the engine off, is it smooth?

If you’re talking about what I think you are, it’s engine vibrations and Asobo will have to do something about this I think if it is to change.

Maybe it’s something else, though?

It seems to be all aircraft, prop, jet, etc. When the aircraft is on the ground, it’s nice and smooth. Once in the air though, it’s violent shakes. They aren’t tiny shakes by any means so I doubt it’s engine vibrations.

Try following an aircraft in mid flight using the drone and choosing CTRL Pg Up, and then zoom in to the aircraft so that you’re around 100 feet away. I’d be interested to know if you see the aircraft you’re following shaking violently.

Ah, I was thinking about it wrong. I don’t know anything helpful then. I’ll give it a try, though. It sounds like a cool view. I didn’t know you could drone follow other planes.
