Can anyone tell me why some aircraft have an Airplane.cfg file and others do not?
Yeah, that sucks. I’d like to change the callsign for the airplanes I fly and OF COURSE the plane I fly most (C172 steam gauges) has no cfg so I have to do that in the sim EVERY TIME… I also wonder why not all planes have cfg’s.
Come to think of it… maybe the planes from the Deluxe version and Premium don’t have cfg’s? To somehow protect them. Didn’t check that…
Premium aircraft have encrypted cfgs
They’re called Aircraft.cfg files. Go to wherever the “Official” folder is on your computer, drill down until you see the aircraft listed, select yours, find the aircraft.cfg file and change the atc_id to whatever n-number you like.
I think you missed the point of this topic.
Okay, that it then.
I don’t think anyone has the answer. I believe the fsuipc developers have raised this issue with asobo. Hopefully it’s something they can rectify.
What you still can do is grab a custom livery for these aircraft, they usually contain an extension to the original aircraft.cfg and there you can set the atc_id for that livery.
The default livery’s entry cannot be modified that way, I think.
