So I gave myself a little challenge to see how accurate MSFS really is. This is what I did…
°Choose an airport of your choice & look at the departures, routes & times ect…
°Once your chosen flight departure has been picked, head over to www.flightradar24 (free) and nearer the departure time your aircraft model along with its location (sometimes stands at the airport if zoom in) will appear on flightradar24.
°Start MSFS and load a flight plan as that you see on the Airports Deptures. I use Simbrief and the plans have been pretty much the same as you may see using your VFR map to view the route.
°have your pushback tug hooked up and ready to roll. Focus on flightradar24 and you will see your chosen flight/aircraft begin to move (hopefully on time off chocks).
°sometimes I’ve pushed back early and lined up at waited on the runway to match the plane line up on the runway on flight radar24. This way its a little easier, because it difficult to match the taxi speed.
°Once you see the your plane on flightradar24 begin to roll…then off you go!
I do try and match the same aircraft type. More often than not I use the A320. I was surprised to find we were pretty much neck & neck with each other, perhaps occasionally slightly infront or slightly behind, but still it another fun way to use MSFS.

It’s only for fun, so give it a try. I welcome comments with those who have given it a try and see if there flight was successful in matching the real world aircraft. Good luck, have fun!
