Many exceptions fixed which makes add-on more stable
Liveries scan script replaced with modern enumeration method, JS script no longer contains thousands of liveries names which makes it work faster
Controls assist script replaced which makes add-on easier to use for content creation. Also it enabled for Rookie mode during contact.
Many AI aircraft behaviours improvements.
Sounds like a perfect update, isn’t it? But here is unpleasant surprise - once add-on uploaded to Marketplace, liveries enumeration script stopped to work. First I thought it’s some code issue but then found same issue report made by other developer - so it’s not something we can fix. I decided to release update anyway as it contains fixes for more critical issues. I hope it will be solved soon and liveries request will start to work once sim update with fix will be released.
p.s. Just got a response from Asobo that building package under SU5 SDK will fix the issue, so hope next week update will work correctly.
Exciting stuff! Disappointing that the marketplace ingestion broke your work initially, but glad to hear the fix is easy and can’t wait to put Airshow Assistant back into action.
Definitely my favorite utility for MSFS, and really appreciate your hard work on improving it even more.
If you recently updated to Sim Update 5 you may want to go into the options and turn the turbulence setting to low. I believe it is at high by default. There are a number of settings that affect the air movement environment as well. I know mine changed after the update and was too rough for my liking.
yup that fixed it. for some reason wake turbulence was turned on after su5. also on another note, i know the wingman liveries are currently broken, but is the wingman aircraft selection broken too? either im blind or dont see any way to change the type of aircraft.
Update confirmed, will be released tomorrow.
New scan script returns different results - they will be combined not by type/model but variation title, which makes list much longer. I will think about making menu with three levels to avoid scrolling too much.
It should show all your planes now, if I understand how the upgrade works. Can’t wait to verify – there’s some fun stuff, like a formation of different era Blue Angels planes, I’ve been wanting to do for a long time but haven’t been able to yet.
And yeah, a multi-level menu would likely be appreciated, @thealx2901, when you can get to it! I can use Addons Linker now to keep from having all 10 zillion planes in the list, but I also have a buttload of Marketplace planes and the like hundred planes that come with Premium Deluxe, so guessing the scroll will get a bit crazy!
well the update is out and i couldnt be happier! so many new aircraft show up! however none of the indiafoxtecho aircraft show up which is kinda confusing still
Edit: I tried running all of the add-on liveries that I had active through msfslayoutgenerator.exe in case one was an older 2020 livery that had issues. Same error.
Also, when you do the folders, you could probably put all of the Asobo and Microsoft “PassiveAircraft” under a single folder without bothing anyone.
I’ve had a similar experience. The day before yesterday, the list wasn’t there either—only the tanker aircraft appeared—but yesterday the list was complete. However, it is very cumbersome to scroll through; couldn’t the current aircraft perhaps be placed at the top?
Great to have a play around with version 3.15.1 . Lots of aircraft to fly with, looks great and no hit on FPS. I think it’s only picking out MSFS2024 native planes in the livery list. So F-117, SR-71 and F-18 are there. But F-14, F-15 and F-35 are not. It does copy your plane as your wingman, regardless of which version the plane is; it’s only if you try to choose a different livery there is a restriction.
There are a lot of new formation options; it would be great to see them illustrated on the website.
