After re-installing MSFS 2020 (Windows 10 Store version), the wheels on all my aircraft are frozen. My peripheals include a MS Force Feedback 2 stick and CH PRO pedals functioning perfectly, e.g setting and releasing the brakes.
My Flight Simulator version is 1.31.22.0
I am looking for suggestions to fix this, so I can fly again.
Thank you in advance.

You able to move the aircraft?
-
Full system specs incl OS version/build
Have you tried changing the reverse setting for the pedals?
No, I can’t move the aircraft.
OS: Windows 10 Pro,
version 21H2,
OS build 19044.2728
Yes, it didn’t fix the problem
Sure sound liek your CH PRO pedals are applying brakes when you think they are not.
What happens if you temporarily remove the suspect CH PRO Pedals, and maybe use the Twist Axis of the Sidewinder Joystick as a temporary rudder ( Or set to auto rudder)
When I unplug the CH pedals, the aircraft can move but is uncontrollable since I can not brake or steer it.
When I then plug the pedals back in, the wheels freeze.
Sounds like you need to reverse the axis or otherwise configure it differently?
yes, but I have no idea what the settings should be.
The settings I use are the ones that worked before SU12 or 10 or whatever the darned thing is numbered.
And they are the settings that show up in the Controls, when I move or brake the pedals. And that, of course, show the the pedals work and are not defective.
I am beginning to hate the simulator🤬
Seems the simulator is also beginning to hate you back !!
Since there are not 1,000,000+ others complaining about this, it most likely is a configuration setting at your end that got changed with the last SU Update.
Hopefully someone with the same CH product can help you.
If you had a MS Sidewinder FF Joystick, then maybe I could be the one to help you. (If you Forced the issue)
I have a Microsoft FF2 joystick.
Any suggestions?
in the controls window you can search by name for the system you want to control, search each of your devices and see if you have a conflict. if not your pedals have have given up.
Current is: 22H2 19045.2788
Update then reboot PC and run the below commands I mention.
Go through each of the following steps one at a time. Copy each line, one at a time , paste it into the Dos window (crtl + V) and press return
and it will then run. Wait until each runs and finishes before you move on to the next one.
When you are completely finished, Restart your computer and then try to see in MS2020 will start and run properly
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
RESTART your computer as the last step. Then go for a test flight
#1 tip, if you have not discovered it before.
Block the hand sensor small hole , so the joystick stays active and does not go limp, when you take your hand off it.
so 100% agree… Does not hurt to do this every few weeks. Its amazing how easily windows can get “Corrupted”, and the above will greatly help to correct such issues.
I get this Error: 740
Elevated permissions are required to run DISM.
Use an elevated command prompt to complete these tasks.
================
I also updated windows to H22 (don’t know the build number)
and
Reinstalled MSFS 1.31.22.0
Still the wheels are locked
Disconnect all controllers. Then reboot PC and connect just (1) controller at a time.
You need to right click then select run as admin when running the commands.
OS and build number Settings>System>About
Windows 10: Opening the Command Prompt as Administrator
- Press the Windows Start button at the bottom left.
- Type in “Command Prompt”.
- Right click on Command Prompt and click “Run as administrator”.
- Click Yes if the Windows 10 User Account Control prompt is displayed.
- The Command Prompt should appear.
Completed all the steps per your instruction.
In spite of that, the wheels are still frozen when I plug in the CH Pro pedals.
So they must be defective!
Any recommendations for reliable heavy duty pedals?
Iam favoring the Turtle Beach Velocity One. Pricey but looks like they would be perfect.
Comments welcome before I push the trigger…
What happens when you disconnect all controllers?
