Have you ever been skiing in the Alps on a sunny day and taken off your sunglasses?

No but I’ve flown over the Alps multiple times and even during midday you can see the shapes of snow

So, you’ve flown over the Alps on a sunny midday, at this altitude, and without sunglasses, right?

Generally, ‘white’ is not pure white on the colour chart. It’s around 70% and I often thought at times in 2020, certain values would have exceeded 70-80%, which would give the over exposed look.

That said, snow is as pure white as you can get and under direct light, it will give off a glare.

And I’m guessing you’re flying in 2D.
Because in VR is even worse, just planes sitting on parking spot, you can’t make any details our of them. Back to 2D, there’s a lot detail in the whites.

I’m gonna open a new bug for VR, the sim is Overexposed, Contrast is a bit too low, and brightness a bit too high.

Cheers!
