Alt TAB not working and windowed mode means you close the game by mistake - no fix?

One of my biggest issues in VR now is needing to be in fullscreen to get good performance, but in full-screen mode, opening any dialogues (save as, load, etc) will open them in the background with no ability to click out of the sim, effectively forcing you to kill the sim.

Full screen > WIndowed = ALT ENTER
save/load explorer will now pop-up, or ALT TAB, now enabled
and vice versa
