Airbus 320 altitude select. When changing altitude select the altitude moving very fast. to stop it i need to engage altitude . It happen in up or down selection. any solution ?
Can’t help you with the Airbus, but I don’t think you’re going to get a lot of answers by posting this in Flying-World Discovery.
You may want to move it to Self-Service and Bugs.
Use your mouse wheel instead, and if you find it continuously scrolling, click again to stop it.
Thank you for your help. It worked perfectly
The Altitude select on the FCU scrolled fast to 1000 ft and aircraft started to dive - No way to move the altitude back to 5000 ft nor level the aircraft.
As I was on the glide slope, I engaged the APPR, but did not respond to the approach mode.
I had to fly the landing phase manually.
I’m using the A32NX v0.4.1 stable release btw.
The fault did not come back on another test flight.
didn’t work for me, but i suspect the mouse wheel triggered it.
for altitude select try using the mouse wheel only, do not click . It look that the issue is with altitude only. for example changing airspeed by clicking the mouse is OK.
No, it happens to all the knobs. It’s random. Sometimes I got it on altitude, then it stops and I didn’t get it again. Sometimes I got it when I was turning the cabin temperature control overhead. Again click it again and it stops and I didn’t get it again.
I think it just randomly happens to everything with a knob. My guess is something to do with the mouse click input that randomly assigns “toggle” instead of “hold”. That’s why you need to click it again to toggle it off.
