Hey. I’ve been searching around how to prevent CTDs and stuff like that, and everything I see says to run MSFS as admin. I was wondering if anyone knew if there’s a way to make it ALWAYS run as admin. Is that possible?
MSFS runs in the logged on user context and its an MS Store App (unless you’re on Steam) so you shouldn’t run as Administrator, there’s no need. If you’re getting CTD’s its likely some addon or other, or a driver (as I recently discovered to my cost… repeatedly, until I rolled back to an Nvidia driver from January!

I must be lucky. I log on with my Microsoft account, start MSFS as a standard user, and I’ve never had a CTD. In fact, startup, operation, and shut down of the sim have been flawless.
(Of course, I probably just cursed myself…)
