Am I lucky that I had yet again a smooth update or..?

Every time after a patch release I read about several issues emerging from an update…I feel sorry about you guys but when its not a general issue and even when one or two persons post that they didn’t have any issues, you have to check your part of the ‘‘game’’…
Check Nvidia/Amd setup, check if you have any new drivers installed and play a little Shelock because probably something is interfering with the sim…
For instance there is a post about halved fps and after 60 or more posts it was blamed to a setting in Nvidia control panel …
For me the developers gave me tonight an improved version of the sim with good loading times, improved anti aliasing , improved water reflections…I haven’t checked the aircraft changes yet…
Anyway just saying that sometimes some of the issues are justified and sometimes some of them are caused by our acts…

Try flying to CYYZ at night. Let me know if it loads. I have been flying there since Day 1, no issues.

All five patches have been plain sailing for me. The very first patch was incredibly slow for me, the slowest, but I was WFH at that time, so I was able to attempt download while the rest of the world was!

Today I was busy doing something else, and found out about the patch about three hours after release. It took 10-15 minutes to download so no bother at all in that regard either.

I have noticed perhaps some twitchiness from the G36 on AP when adjusting VS. I don’t remember it being quit as abrupt before. If I adjust it from 0 to 700fpm quickly, its a neck snapper!

I will try that now and I will report to you back

Yeah for me this was the best patch so far, especially the AA and the night lightning! Thank you Asobo!

Never had any issues with any of the patches. This one was smooth as butter again as well.

The night lighting looks nice… But it also looks more like older games. It looks just like Xplane11 when I added a light mod. Country roads should not have city lighting. Looks fake now.

Agree with the AA. Night lighting is a step down. Completely lost its variation. Just a uniform unrealistic grid now of yellow lights.

Somewhere down there, Tron fights for the users!

I just flew over CYYZ with no issues however I have to say that you are right about night lighting…in some parts it looks too artificial…it also reminds me of Xplane 11…we should give them a feedback…should we zendesk or start a post??

there’s already 2 or 3 topics about the lighting already. Please don’t start another one.

Haven’t seen it yet…ok

Okay, thank you for trying it. I already deleted cache to see if that would work, no help. So I am going to try community folder. I actually have had no major issues until today. The update had issues dowoading first. Then all went well. I did a flight in afternoon was best flight I experienced. Very smooth and clear. Then once night rolled in, the graphics and Sim crashes began.

I would like to see a feature that let’s you “repair” installation. If there is a way, without full removal, then I would be happy to know it.

This was more about the simulator crashing now when I try to load CYYZ. I added a couple of other tidbits to vent.

I haven’t put back anything to the the community folder yet…its still empty…so try if something is crashing the sim…

I cleared community folder and that fixed CYYZ crashing. All I really had was liveries and the A32x in there. Cannot believe that crashed CYYZ. Happy that is fixed.

Good to know !!

I think it is luck for you, as it was for me up until this update. On this one, apparently there is a conflict with the throttle I have been using. I reinstalled and got it running from the CTD, and one at a time plugged back in my controls. Mouse, xbox controller, yoke, rudder pedals and throttle. The throttle caused the CTD. All are Virtual Fly products that have worked perfectly up until this update. Now all work other than the throttle.

I have read about the ctd issues with some of the controls…hope they fix them soon
