`Brief description of the issue: Just installed FS 2020 premium deluxe, started the tutorials but as soon as the “instructor” hands over controls the throttle drops to idle and power will not increase either with keyboard or Logitech throttles (that appear to be working ok in the controls panel). Tried plugging keyboard or throttles in different USB port, installing again the driver for the throttle but nada

If you are talking about the General Aviation Tutorial, second lesson? Where the instructor says Your Controls and descends into a crash, then it’s a known bug for the longest time. Welcome to MSFS 2020.
Hi, thank you and reassuring to see that after almost 20 years since I last touched FS not much has changed and issues can be expected from the get-go. Actually I am encountering the problem even on the first tutorial, I go through ok with the basic changing points of view with the hat switch on the yoke and keyboard then once “it is time to fly this bird” my bird drops to idle, about 500 rpm and no amount of hitting F3 or yanking the throttle lever has any effect. Will try different scenarios tomorrow
Thank you, got that installed and running but no joy. Hoping it is just an issue with the first lessons - will try again tomorrow
Have you tried flying without tutorials? Like a World Map with multiplayer off just as a test?
At least for my Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant when you press ESC and then press ESC again to return to the flight, the throttles power changes down to lower speeds.
You could delete the throttle profile and manually map the controls and try that.
I have (but no longer use) a Thrustmaster TWCS HOTAS. Instead, I’ve mapped the throttle to the ten-key pad on my keyboard. I use minus and plus keys for granular control, and the 0 - 9 keys for idle/cutoff through 90%. I have spoilers mapped to the slash key.
Sounds crazy, but I like it quite a bit better than I did the sticky throttle on the TWCS. And… if you hold the minus key down while flying the TBM 930, upon landing you go into beta… look Ma, no brakes!
Hi again, tried the first three tutorials again but the plane will not throttle up, on the controls section the peripheral is still showing as working ok, tried the Cub and stilòl no throttle but on the other hasnd tried the cessna CJ4 on the runway and the throttles seem to work ok, will try laster (once I have resized the screenshots) to attach screenshots of the Cessna 172 as it idles down during the second tutorial, the peripheral contros screen, CJ$ at 20% N1 and throttled up to 60%.

Ciao from Italy
Sorry if the previous post came out garbled, I intended to say that again today after no joy on the first 3 tutorials and free flight in a Cub I tried a Cessna CJ4 jet and the throttles seem to work ok, got screenshots of N1 at 20% and 60%. Still re-learning to fly in twin jet engines would be a steep learning curve so as much as I am pleased that the effect of the bug may be limited i would edfinitely like to sort it.
