I have noticed twice now after loading MFS and waiting to set up my flight my AMD card runs at around 85/90 when i start my flight and settle in for the climb and cruise the card cools down to 70/75. I would have thought it would run cooler during setup than in flight, I have rex weather running and flying the a32nx.
It’s all those animation background clips of the hangar in the menus that are causing GPU’s to work a bit more than when your in flight. I always notice my fans on my Nvida 2080 super go into overdrive when in the menu’s.
limit your framerate (either with VSync, or drivers / Afterburner). This will stop your GPU trying to achieve 500 FPS in the menus.

Tried what you said and my frame rates dropped from 40/45 to 20/25 during my current flight so not an option really.
if you just limit it to 60 FPS you should be fine. It’s only the menus you’re worrying about. In game should still run at the 40/45 you’re used to.
Tried again with the AMD card drivers and set up limited the FPS as you advised and after 5 mins in menu mode temps now 65/70 not 90/95 as before. Many thanks for the advice.
