AMD Processors and WIN11 - See here something to help improve stuttering (SU8)

Looks like something is still unresolved about FTPM and Win11. However, to prevent this from becoming degrading to your system usage and which can compromise your MSFS experience, some people are consistently addressing FTPM being turned off in the BIOS. You can read more about this subject here:

AMD Issues Fix and Workaround for Ryzen’s fTPM Stuttering Issues | Tom’s Hardware (tomshardware.com)

do a quick search on YT and you found something in your country’s language that should address the “how to turn off FTPM in BIOS”, so when you find it I believe it shouldn’t be difficult because it’s just an on or off key, so you must leave it off.

This does not interfere at all with the use of your system since FTPM is only requested on the initial installation of the PC. So, if there is a major update of WIN11 and it asks to turn on FTPM; the path you already know and how to proceed to leave it ON.

It looks like AMD should work in the next few days to fix this. But for now, this is the news I bring to those who suffer like me with the SU8 update.

Here there was an improvement on the circle that was running in the right corner, on the photogrammetry and on the loading and stability of the MSFS. I can’t point this out on Win10, since I use so and only WIN11.

So try, do this experiment and come back here with your observation.

Hugs to all!

Thanks for the tip, will give it a try

I turned tpm off all together, nothing seems to have change under win11, next time I launch will see how win10 behaves.

Though this is more of a fix for AMD chips no?

Edit: So ran it on win10 install didnt really make a differernce. Though Im intel myself. For you AMD guys there is a patch for your processors which supposedly fixes the micro-stutters in win10 / win 11, but that for those os’s itself and not any specific game nor are intel related.

Change the Title and remove reference to Intel.
