Even if you don’t see much of an increase in fps it should always help with lows - in my case I actually run a higher boost clock with SMT off so I get both. However I also don’t have any other apps running alongside (except maybe OBS when recording) so for me eight cores/threads is plenty but if I had navigraph, AIG etc. running then I might think twice about it… Of course that’s probably not relevant for the 7950X.
