The gap between AMD and Nvidia has narrowed over the years. What you may see is a particular game’s optimization favoring one manufacturer’s proprietary technology over another.
I’ve been on AMD CPU and GPU for years. I can honestly say AMD does it better by leaps and bounds from a Driver Installation perspective. Once and done using a universal driver version.
It took six tries for me to guess the right RTX model family (and subsequent large downloads for each) before I could get the driver to recognize my (new to me) 2060 Super 12GB. I was previously on an AMD RX580 8GB.
Beyond that, I’m enjoying the DLSS options in the sim now, and the extra VRAM - which the sim promptly consumed even at my middle of the road graphics settings. Your mileage may vary.
