ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: During a manual cold-and-dark startup sequence for the iniBuilds Antonov An-225 in MSFS 2024, both the APU and main engine start sequences are completely non-functional.
The physical APU Start buttons on the Flight Engineer’s panel are entirely dead (no click-spots) and do not respond to mouse clicks or assigned hardware bindings. Consequently, the main engine start sequence is completely broken. Attempting to bypass the failed APU by connecting Ground Power (External Power) also fails; the aircraft logic still appears to block engine initialization.
Please refer to the attached video for a complete demonstration of the unresponsive systems during the startup flow.
Engine Start Procedure (Failing Sequence): The failure occurs when attempting the following standard procedure (with Ground Power connected):
- BEACON LIGHTS → ON (up)
- STARTING PANEL → OPEN
- ENG START MODE SWITCHES → ALL RICH (up)
- MIXTURE RATIO SWITCHES → ALL ON (up)
- HYD TRANSFER (Left & Right buttons) → PRESS
- FADEC SWITCHES → ALL ON (up)
- AUTO START BUTTON → PRESS (or START BUTTON → PRESS)
Failure Point: After pressing the start button, the system logic is not triggered. ENGINE RPM does not move, N2 fails to reach 55%, and N1 fails to reach 20% as expected. The subsequent steps (engaging hydraulic pumps and generators) cannot be completed.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Consistently (100% of the time upon loading).
REPRODUCTION STEPS
- Spawn the Antonov An-225 at any airport in a Cold & Dark state.
- Attempt to engage the physical APU Start buttons on the Flight Engineer’s panel. (Observed: Completely dead, no click-spots).
- Attempt to bypass the APU by utilizing Ground Power (External Power) and proceed with the engine startup sequence detailed above.
- Observe the engine parameters after pressing the start buttons. (Observed: The system remains completely unresponsive and engines fail to ignite).
