An-225: Non-Functional Instruments and Gauges

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
There is a lot of bugs and Issues on the Antonov 225 from Inibuilds. Several are graphical (unreadeable digital instruments at day), some are functional (halff of the aircraft instruments like the airspeed indicator, the autopilot, the altimeters,… stop working at random times after take-off)

The bugs reported on their discord (Inibuilds) on MSFS 2020 are still present.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Antonov 225 from Inibuilds/Microsoft

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load the aircraft
  2. Observe how instruments are unreadable at daylight
  3. Put the simulation at night and turn on the landing lights, observe how the cockpit is iluminated from the inside.
  4. Also observe how some of them stop working after take-off at random times

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
No

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?
Nvidia 3070M

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
Asus ROG G513QR with 32GB RAM upgrade

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
Ilumination when the landing lights are on (even with them extended):

Unreadable instruments at daylight:

Traffic on TCAS when there isn’t any traffic around:

And now after take-off, failure of the instruments (instruments frozen or not working at all):

It’s a shame that the logo of the marketplace is a broken plane with so little love to maintain it

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

At first glance, the Mriya seems to work. The throttles can be moved accordingly and work as they should. But when you take off and do a lap around the airport, all the throttle functions break and you can’t even move them visually. But you can still hear the noise of the movements. The longer the flight, the more all the systems start to go crazy. Some engines go full throttle, others go into reverse thrust, ticas and other instruments go crazy. As if I had forgotten to remove the covers. But this plane has no new features and therefore no covers, and no click spots for them. Landing was of course not possible because some engines went full throttle and some reverse thrust. And no, I spent days properly using my peripherals and testing them on the ground. Everything worked as intended. You just can’t take off. There were also countless other issues with the visibility of switches and buttons, with the livery and the bad textures on the exterior model.
The new sim generally has problems with the lighting. Lights are either not visible during the day or they outshine everything at night!

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

An-225 and many of the problems described have all standard aircraft

What peripherals are you using, if relevant: Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke TCA, T-Flight Rudder Pedals and Honeycomb Bravo

Everything works except for the displays, which you can only see in the dark.
but this happens during flight and after the flight!
by the way, I couldn’t land because of the problems and had to use the slew mode. Takeoff was great!

After that, a lot of things are frozen and you can’t move the throttles visually, but you can still hear the movements and all systems and functions seem to be broken.
To all developers who are taking their 2020 aircraft over to the new sim:
Test them properly with a complete flight from A to B and don’t just test them on the ground before the flight, because based on this example of the Mriya, everything seems to work on the ground before the flight!

Avionics also do not take over a flight plan from the EFB and you have to enter everything manually in the GNS

APU engines continue to run even though everything is off and there is no fuel!

I made a Bug Report too :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’m so glad to see that other user cares about this aircraft :smiling_face_with_tear:
Please Microsoft/Asobo/Inibuilds, don’t let her die here too :frowning:

Yes, I also encountered it, my autopilot did not work after takeoff, causing me to have to go back to 2020 for the flight

I think it hasn’t been updated since 2020. It’s the same version.

It’s so funny that this Aircraft is the symbol of the Marketplace and one of the gifts of the Collector Edition… and It’s so broken and so unappreciated.
And Inibuilds is like "Let’s launch the A350 and make more money instead  "

I hope they fix it at some point, but giving the history of Inibuilds of the last 2 years, they will half-fix it (dissregarding all of the other bugs I already reported on the 2020 version a year and a half ago) and claim it working

You are absolutely right and yet unfortunately it somehow fits the picture. Not only is this ominous marketplace not there yet, the functionality of the marketplace symbol is not there yet either, I also received the LCE with the An-225 model almost a month later. Evil tongues would claim that the priorities do not match the pictures and statements.

This aircraft in particular has to work perfectly because it is the symbolic aircraft of the MSFS 2024, Antonov is a partner of Microsoft and a lot of money was donated.
Unfortunately, everything about this aircraft is sad, whether in reality or virtually.
But it can’t be like that any longer, we have to move forward!

I requested the mods to merge my bug report into this one.

Meanwhile, finally someone from Ini answered my bug report at their discord, and they said that this aircraft is not their problem.
(despite having developed it)

Anyone has oppened a Zendesk Ticket for this collection of bugs?

I didn’t because in the past, with other aircraft they mark the bug as fixed but it wasn’t (p.e. there was a bug on the Shock ultra with the speedometer, they fixed it, then reintroduced it some sim updates later, re-opened the ticket but they marked it as working fine).
So I started to be tired of putting effort into reporting bugs the most detailed way possible only for them disregarding them.

Done! :slightly_smiling_face:
Thx my friend!

So, if I understand correctly, iniBuilds has no responsibility for their own aircraft that were developed on behalf of Microsoft.
I think that if a working aircraft becomes inoperable due to a new simulator or SU etc., no matter who is at fault, as a current partner you have a duty to restore the functionality of an aircraft, which is one of the faces of MSFS 2024, and to do so as quickly as possible!

There are many more bugs and faulty animations with the main gear and the nose gear and the too fast rotation speed of the wheels of the nose gear when kneeling. I had already reported this to iniBuilds in 2020 but nothing happened, instead new bugs with SUs kept cropping up and only these were always fixed, sometimes only after months.

As you said, Inibuilds is unfortunately only Microsoft’s order taker in this case. Microsoft, which sold us a product, has a duty to keep their product up to date with each update so that it can be used in any circumstance. This is a matter of legal right.

I can understand that the current focus is on FS24 but it is not normal that we have no information on the progress of these so-called aircraft update.

All the more so as the Antonov 225 promotion was put forward to help the actual company to re-fabricate the aircraft, Microsoft is all the more indebted.

I would like to add, if possible, some points that would REALLY be a big plus on this aircraft:

Inibuilds are now creating aircraft with advanced systems such as aircraft maintenance (aka the A300).

Would it be possible to add this to the AN225?
Would it be possible to add vibrations in the cockpit when we rev up the engines before take-off like the real thing?
Because yes, when the mechanics warm up the engine to 70% for 2 minutes, the whole aircraft shakes due to the thrust of the engines.
This is just one detail among many.
Can we also add certain elements, such as being able to test oxygen masks?

These suggestions may seem absurd today, as 3/4 of all aircraft worthy of the name already offer this kind of feature and it would be (for me) a real plus for the immersion of this aircraft, which is a legend in aeronautics.

I sincerely hope that Microsoft will hear our voice, for the sake of the Antonov 225, a legendary aircraft.

Yours sincerely

I forgot to mention that I speak FS20.
