ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: Under the SU5 Beta the AN2 is not working anymore. There is a constant clicking-sound audible in a 1sec-interval. With every click some very important switches do reset themselves to the off-position (fuel selector, fly-wheel-starter-switch). The clicking sounds like one of the circuitbreaker-switches, but none of them is moving visibly, so it is not possible to verify where this comes from.
I checked my control settings, no binding do interfere with the aircraft and to verify the problem I left SU5 Beta, went back to SU4 and everything does work as it should.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? every time i loaded the AN2 in all the variations
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
-
Load a free flight with the AN2
-
You will here the clicking from outside the aircraft in walkaround mode already
-
Enter the aircraft with Shift-C
-
Clicking is audible even better
-
Battery swith to ON
-

Looks a lot like there are other aircraft with the same problem: 1.7.7.0 BlackSquare B60 Turbine Duke cockpit issues -Avionics and switches
The very same behaviour, also in 1sec-intervals.

I can repro the OPs steps above.

See similar issues also with the WBSim C152, where random things happen with instruments and controls every 1 sec. Also the prop moves 90 deg every sec too. Its like some timer/reset affecting a lot of different systems. Whatever the problem is , its seems systemic and not just with a specific aircraft. Anecdotally, it seems to possibly be aircraft that were based on legacy FS2020 models or FS2020 functions. The default FS2024 aircraft I tried worked correctly. Also wasn’t happening in the very first SU5 beta, it started immediately with beta 2.

Can confirm this behavior in the C414AW. After loading and ready to fly, the first and second digits default to “7”. If you try setting them to some other digit, say a “2”, then release the mouse, the setting moves back to “7” slowly (probably in 1 sec intervals) and incrementally, counting up 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, each time with a click sound. The third and fourth digits can be set as usual and will stay at the number you set. Other switches can be set but immediately return to the default position with a click sound. In line with the above hypothesis, the C414AW was originally a 2020 model.

Sorry that I have to say this. Seems to be fixed in 2D, but not in VR. This is the same problem I guess
Unable to click some items with the mouse in VR - Sim Update 5 Beta | MSFS 2024 / Virtual Reality - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
I seems to be an issue with the size, position and distance of the clickspot/view combination.
No one has this problem? Only me? Or is no one using VR anymore?
Based on the description you’ve made it looks like a different issue than reported in this topic and specific to VR. I would recommend you to contribute to the report you’ve linked.
