Be honest, Asobo, you didn’t fix A.I. Assist in Sim Update 5, did you? I’ll admit you made some… some ‘adjustments’, but I know you didn’t fix it because I just attempted a ‘totally hands-off’ flight from U-Tapao–Rayong–Pattaya International Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) and, of course, it didn’t end well.
Take off and departure was passable, the flight itself a dream, but the landing… my enforced intimacy with treetops continues.
I had every possible ‘Assist’ on. Every. Single. One. I’ve moved past regret and grief and now I’m just morbidly fascinated by why - by how - it is that a talented team of developers cannot fathom how to instruct the (alleged) A.I. to reliably land a plane at a designated airport without mishap, mayhem or terminal failure. What exactly is the problem?
It’s just a crying shame. I had a nice flight. Lovely scenery in Thailand, beautiful weather, and the approach was looking promising. And then utter carnage.
Asobo, take a couple of your brightest, put them in a room for a few weeks and have them solve this issue. You have all the information, it just needs to be provided to A.I. Assist in the right order.
