Announced: IniBuilds Manchester EGCC (FS2024)

Am I sad that the hump was the absolute first thing I checked after installing this Inibuilds version? Southside terrain close 2nd ha.

Thanks for checking! I have now cleared the cache, uninstalled some add-ons and reinstalled the scenery. The visibility is now excellent! Unfortunately, I cannot say exactly what caused the low OLOD distance on my system, but now it is really good.

Many thanks to @BragRaindrop933 and @JakTrax78 for the tips!

I must have a good ROI on EGCC already (same goes for the RJ too). Loving it. Albeit I appear to be stuck doing regional hops around a gloomy UK in winter too.

I think I’ve misunderstood the custom VDGS. From everything I’ve read online, you need to have GSX installed for it to work?

Either way, I don’t have GSX and the VDGS screens are blank when I’m taxiing in, no matter gate/stand I’m given. Unless I’ve completely missed something. A shame as MK Studios Dublin has it included with the scenery.

They call it ‘static VDGS’ so I take it that that means static scenery like static aircraft (that do nothing), but are there just to look the part.

So yes you need GSX to have functional VDGS. Not sure about nool though.

Interestingly, the option I have is “custom” VDGS. Same thing I take it?

I don’t know for sure, but on Discord they are referring to it as ‘Static VDGS’, so I suspect it’s just scenery. Your example of MK Studios EIDW uses Nool VDGS, so you must have Nool VDGS installed for that to work with EIDW. (free download)

Thanks for that, guess I’ll have to hope and pray for nool then. It’s not outside the realm of possibility, apparently they did one for EGLL.

Anyway, it’s now available on the MSFS marketplace. Just seems to have appeared lol.

Came just before Xmas. I happened to look one morning and, as you say… it was just there!

Do updates ever release for inibuilds airports on the marketplace though? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any updates for Gatwick, Ibiza, Manchester… etc. There are regular updates for PC users but they don’t seem to trickle down to marketplace. All seem to be version 1.0.0 release versions

Just a word to BATC users, you’ll probably notice AI traffic is a little sparse at this airport. From Discord, it seems to be due to the airport data being misaligned to this version, such as nothing parking at the new T2 finger, aircraft still using the now closed T1 stands etc. It may be a while until the ops data is updated but it will be eventually. Obviously, if this isn’t your local, you may not care.

I did think T2 looked a bit empty! But I did expect the stand data to be outdated. Stuff uses the older of the two piers and T1//3 look great at 0300, with all the EZYs and RYRs parked up at their IRL stands.

I just pretend I’m operating flights two months ago!

Wow. On Xbox(X) I thought I’d be pushing my hopes with this add on. Risked it and performance is very good - even with the PMDG 737 it’s great.

The quality of this addon airport is exceptional. Great to see the visitor park nicely modelled too.
