For those that haven’t seen the announcement on discord there is a “mandatory” update available in Contrail and soon on Aerosoft One to fix issues caused by SU 14.

Had a nice flight, aircraft seems to be working ok.
As before, strobes not working, aircraft not capable of RNAV/GPS approaches, no VNAV, I’m still afraid of touching anything around MFD so I would not freeze it again. Still a long way before we can say the aircraft is finished. Heard they’re getting ready to release E190/105 - IMHO they should work on current models before going for another two.

The 190/195’s probably have the same avionics as the 170/175 so no problem.
Yeah, there was a new status update posted recently. First version of custom FMS with LNAV/VNAV maybe in Summer 2024.

The coding and modeling people are totally different teams per the dev… Don’t worry, the VNAV isn’t being held hostage to the 190/195… Check out their website, they just had a BIG dev update about the FMS and VNAV work…

Looking at the new roadmap i’m impressed with the developers resolve. They are sticking with their plans and it seems like they want to deliver on their promise. I’m also glad that i waited because man… this is a looong early access period.

The question is: Was the early access period “worth it?” I personally think so. There is no question following the Discord that the buyer community has helped FSS make this a much, much better product than at launch.
However, a year and a half is a long time to wait for a FMS/VNAV and 2 years is long to V1.0. Even though that’s what I predicted when it launched last year (and people told me I was being alarmist, guessing it would be much faster) I still think that’s long for the average simmer to wait. That said, I’m glad I did the early access.

I need help.
Has anyone got the new 190/195 pack? I got it, and I’m tearing my hair out what happened. When I start, my camera is waaay in front of where it’s supposed to be and I can’t power the aircraft. I turn the battery knob and nothing happens. No sounds, no screens alive, nothing. My E175 works fine at the same time. I reinstalled the pack and nothing’s changing.
Anyone, please?

Update, for all those, who will find themselves in the same situation.
This aircraft demands serial code, it should automatically produce a pop up at the beginning of simulation, where you’re supposed to place a serial code (found in your aerosoft account/instant downloads). Once the aircraft is active, the system works fine. Not sure about cameras yet, though
But I did have to disable most of my downloads to get that pop up, so do make sure you start your sim clean
What is the performance of those planes compared to PMDG 737/FBW A320/Fenix A320?
The recent versions perform well for me, I would say the Fenix level.
Not close to the 737’s or FBW 320 but it’s an improving product especially where it was maybe 6-7 months ago.

I’m thinking of buying the 19x variant also (I find the 17x a nice and simple plane with his own weird things still) ,but I’m not so sure to pay 40 euro again for almost the same plane. I know pmdg does the same (and is more expensive) with the 737 variants ,but that is a different level of plane.
If you own both packages you’ll get the freighter version free… well that is ok, but a lot of people don’t fly the cargo variants. (I only fly passenger versions.)
I thought that there would be a discount for the 19x version if you owned the 17x version… Hopefully this will come…

I have some interest in the e jets but 40€ for the current condition is a joke. Maybe for the final product in 1-2 years but then it will be probably 50+
Did not even know there is an e jet freighter. That they sell both variants full price was communicated beforehand though.

could someone of the owners of the FSS Embraer give me a short overview which instrument screens can be popped out? Especially MCDU and the EFB…are they also pop-out functional? When yes for the MCDU does the complete MCDU pop-out/undock or just the screen of it?

Every screen, including the EFB can be popped out. As for the MCDU it’s only the screen, no buttons.
