[ANNOUNCEMENT] FlightSim Studio Embraer 175

Many people find it strange that there are people who spend a lot of money for flight simulator addons and then pretend that they are pilots transporting passengers and cargo. Sorry but I’m completely missing the point of your post. 1) E17x/19x is a completely different aircraft to CRJ, 2) It’s fun to fly even without the missing features like Custom FMS, custom LNAV, VNAV and RNV approaches. And laughing at people who enjoy flying CS or default Asobo aircraft is childish.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find it in the changelog, so I suspect it hasn’t been fixed yet. But I haven’t tested it yet, though.

“And laughing at people who enjoy flying CS or default Asobo aircraft is childish”

That is a nicer way of putting it.

It’s a genuine question I’m asking, what makes this ejet so special it’s a must have in a half made state?

And no one laughed at anyone, you inferred that on your own when you decided to get offended about a legit question from someone who would like to have an ejet but won’t buy it when it’s missing half it’s airliner functionality

That didn’t look like a question to me. And if it was then I answered. I’m a big fan of the aircraft IRL and there are just no better E-Jets available for MSFS as far as I know. I bought all variants because I wanted to support the development plus I trust this developer that they will deliver all promised features after all. Their B727 is excellent imho, though programming a glass cockpit aircraft is a different kind of task.

And after all it’s clearly labeled as Early Access. That means it’s up to you if you buy it now, or you’ll wait till it has the features you can’t miss or you just save money and never buy it. It’s only your choice. But “finding it strange” that some people enjoy flying this aircraft in the current state is not a genuine question.

Finding it strange was a statement, not part of the question. I’m allowed my opinion am I not?

And thank you for a legit answer, I will still wait for the final release, but it at least sheds some logic on why this is so popular even in its current state. I wouldn’t however, base the completion of the ejets on the FSS 727, I hear they are 2 different dev teams, and the 727 progessed much faster and out of nowhere. I want the ejets, but I’m willing to wait longer

Of course that you’re allowed to your opinions but that’s not what I objected. I’m aware of the 2 different teams statement, I’m on their Discord and even if that was true it would say a lot about their determination to build a quality portfolio and reputation. They also publish screenshots from the progress in their development reports, so it’s not only a fairy tale. They’re apparently working on it, though yes I was also disappointed to learn that the custom FMS and VNAV are delayed. Actually, I’m just doing my first flight in E175 after the latest update and I love it.

I think VNAV is a bit overrated. Pilots use a lot of FLCH, VS or open climb or decent IRL, especially close to the airport.
Very happy with the development, very nice cockpit in VR. FMS will be the icing on the cake.

A good news. I’ve just tested the speedbrakes in the E175 and they do work.

Thanks for getting back at it! I only picked it up recently after the 727 release and was pretty content with it. Currently just treating it as a basic regional which it does fine - theres a lot of aircraft out there without vnav that I enjoy flying as a regionals-enthusiast.

Still loving this aircraft.
Still in my top 10.
Don’t care about vnav.
Oh and it’s way beyond “half finished”.

Execllent to hear. Ill still wait until its finished to purchase, bottom line is its not, but glad so see some real feedback on why its so popular though. Hoping for the best, seems like when finished it should be a better product than the one from a different dev on Xplane 11 years back. I look forward to the days they put it out as a final release, will consider it then.

Agree!!! Embraer E170 & E175 is by far my favourite aircraft in MSFS. Flying this one is pure joy and I never get bored :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

A beautiful aircraft indeed. I’ve just done a short flight EDDF - LSGG in E190 and it was a treat.

My favorite as well. I am experiencing an issue after last update with my bravo throttle in that the autopilot vs light will not go off and the altitude light will not come on after reaching altitude. Anyone else?

I am running update V0.9.32 and I do not get any of the green lights for the auto pilot to turn on in the E-170 or the E-175.

Is the option perhaps toggled off again in the EFB maybe? It is optional after all.

any state saving on this yet have a credit card at the ready if it has.

Ah yes, thanks didnt notice that in the EFB, lights appear to be working now. Just picked up this plane so still learning it.

Apparently they are off in the real aircraft. So turning them on in the sim is ‘unrealistic’, but I personally prefer to have that option switched on.
