I have been learning this aircraft now for a few weeks, and I have noticed that the autopilot does not always follow the programmed flight plan. Sometimes it is perfect other times it will just start veering off course even though it is indicating the correct next waypoint, and other times not follow the STAR and or ILS approach.
Has anyone else run into this, and what is/was the problem or fix?
This is a known issue that should be resolved whenever they roll out their own custom FMS. Currently theyāre leveraging built in SID/STAR handling which has a bunch of issues, such as veering off course and not being able to remove waypoints/do a direct to (within a SID/STAR).
A temporary workaround is to enter all points on a SID/STAR manually, or you can also fly those portions āmanuallyā using HDG SEL.
Any update on these? Cant find anything on discord or FSS site. Last patch okt 1. Status report latest 12/2023ā¦
Still find the e-jets pretty much unusable.
Im fine with no VNAV, but it still refuse to insert many fixes (as mentioned above) on STARs, especially on point-merge-systems.
Cant even enter the fixes manually.

Put it in the bin for now (and its been there a long time).
Not unusable for me but I guess each to his own. Itās annoying but I learned how to bypass it. The truth is the custom FMC is really needed and it should be an absolute priority for FSS now before anything else.
It was promised it was ācoming in the summerā (I bought it on the back of this promise), then it was just a beta coming in the summer (because people had been off on holiday - who knew), now we are in late autumn and havenāt heard anything new on the FMC. Iāve given up on some devās promises.
They released 727 in the meantime so you know where their main focus was for the past several months. Updates donāt bring money, new products do. I learned it from Eagle Dynamics long time ago ;).
Supposedly done a different team, but I see a lot of that ānew stuff/get the sales inā distraction tactics going on elsewhere. Even MS are guilty of that. Also still waiting for an updated sound pack from another dev that was promised in āQ2ā we are now in āQ4ā and no sign. The same dev also promised faster download speeds a year ago and Iām still stuck at dial up speeds. They are the only 3rd party dev that has their products downloading this slow. Itās even slower than the slow marketplace downloads! {rant over}
I just flew an E175 IRL, which of course makes me want to fly it in the sim world. How does it rate these days, given itās still early release? I see there was a small update three weeks ago, which gives me some assurance that itās not abandon-ware.
Sounds like coupled VNAV descent is not yet implemented? Iām flying the Avro RJ Professional a lot, so Iām getting reacquainted with descending the old fashioned way with V/S and dialing altitudes and speeds manually, so not a deal breaker.
Iām sticking with FS2020 for a while, for whatever thatās worth.
AFAIK VNAV and custom FMS are not implemented yet. If you donāt mind flying a modern jet with limited functionality then buy it.
I can do manual descends as well, but Iād rather do it in a classic airliner like BAe 146 not a modern one. I doubt there is a single E175 IRL that is used regularly with broken VNAV and FMS from another airplane.
I bought this airplane a few months ago and it has worked within its limitations up until the most recent update. Now the airplane wonāt even power up with the batteries turned on. Everything is dark and frozen in the cockpit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it numerous times and it still doesnāt work. I submitted a ticket to FSS right after the last update and they have basically provided no help other than telling me to uninstall and reinstall which I have done with no success. I would stay away from this airplane based on my recent experience and lack of customer support to find a solution. Save your $35.00
