Ouch! That’s going to be expensive back at the hangar and I’m thinking you are having way too much fun there:+1:

For 9 months this aircraft has been the most exciting thing on the MSFS horizon, I’d say carry on rapidly but of course getting it right is your ethos and the reason that it is exciting, so I just content myself with the progress. Love it!

Fantastic sounds. Really on a different level.
Is there an option in MSFS to have different scraping sounds based on the landing surface? Landing with floats on grass does not really make scraping sounds and it is actually done sometimes to be able to hangar an aircraft during winter.

Hi Seweryn! You are right. WWISE has sound options to the any available surfaces in the sim. After some tests we decided to leave this loud Scrape sound for the all surfaces except water. This sound gives immersion of “touching” the ground by floats from water when airplane docking, and remind when pilot forget to extract landing gear even when landing on a grass. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :+1:

Engine Controls and Rain Sounds Test :grinning: :+1:

P.S. We were surprised that in MSFS rain sounds is the part of airplane sound pack!

I suppose rain could sound different when it hits a fabric wing vs a metal wing or if there isn’t as much glass in the cockpit. It’s an interesting bit of flexibility the sim provides for tailoring the sounds to the plane.

Yes! You are absolutely right! 3PD have a very good opportunity to create the most suitable rain sounds. :+1:

Hi Folks!
We did a 3-hours test flight to detect possible annoying sound artifacts and bugs. We hope this video will be interesting for the future Porter users. The test flight took place day and night, in the Live Weather icing, using GNS530 and GTN750 mod.

Enjoy: :grinning: :+1:

So what is left to finish the project? Sounds seem to be all finished. Final texturing?
We are getting a bit closer to the release

I think getting the external sound to not sound repetitive I quite a difficult task. I think the key is getting rid of some small sounds that stand out from the main engine sound. After a few minutes, our ears can only hear that standing out sound that repeats every 2 seconds or so. Not sure what the best solution could be. I noticed that Carenado implement some kind of modulation of the sound so it is always changing so slightly (on their Mooney for example). You guys blended it pretty well I think.

Hi Seweryn! We have to make Interactive Checklist, Short manual, Final texturing and some marketing-administrative issues. :+1:

Here is a good video show the most important initial steps how to make game sound file from the real sound.

… then a short Engine Sound file go to the WWISE digital processing and become a part of an airplane Sound Pack:
