It does but afaik it uses the terrain straight below the aircraft so if there is some non-gradual change it won’t work. I don’t think it can forecast altitude 3nm ahead but I might be wrong about it and if someone has the right info please chime in.
Does anyone know where to get the manual for this? Thanks!
If you’re willing to share, I’d love to know how you got that working. Every method ive heard to get the elevation of terrain in front of the aircraft had some drawback so im curious how you went about it
For now, I don’t know where this is going as product. So I’ll just say that I am pursuing objectives, and that seems to work:
- Acceptable install size
- Works with different aircraft
- Controllable from within cockpit
- Embedded solution, not an executable. Thus also x-box
Are there plans to make other variants of the F-111? Such as the EF-111
I am dying for a Raven so bad!
I see Mig-25 and F-111 on sale in MP and am tempted but what’s the status on those as far as MSFS2024 is concerned?
Well right now they disaplay with broken labels in the aircraft selector; I haven’t attempted to fly them.
(I would pretty much assume everything is buggy as heck on 2024 right now and not plan on anything working there in the near term.)
Copy that, thank you!
Snapped the F-111 up in the MP Xmas sale. This aircraft is so cool in VR.
this is a pretty good model, very nice in vr indeed. wish gps update will be released soon (bolt on garmin 530 is fine).
to turn off engines, default ctrl-shift-e shuts both engines down. unable to restart it later, tho.
Will it work with 2024? ![]()
looking forward to the next patch but couple of things:
- to increase the appeal/ease usability, adding a GPS nav option would definitely help. VOR2VOR navigation is a pain. look at what azurpoly did with their bronco, bolt on GPS on the glareshield from pms50, would also need to add GPS or NAV driving the CDI.
- add click spots for turning off the engines
this is such a great model, it would be a shame if it isn’t refined further for mfs2020 and in preparation for mfs2024.
lighting fixes for the 111.

I just downloaded this mod, Only bought the plane during the Christmas sale (couldn’t resist at that price). Being an Aussie we are very fond of the Pig & miss it greatly gracing our skies. It’s such a great addon, especially in VR & at low altitude. The texturing is extremely well done & in VR you just feel like you are in the real plane, the Caribou is the same in this respect. Yet to test your mod but the screenies look much more convincing…
I was originally put off by both of these quotes, but 12 months later I bit the bullet and I bought it when it was on sale, hoping that it would have been improved. It hasn’t and after flying this for a few hours yesterday, I have to agree with both of these quotes. There is a lot that I do like about this aircraft, but the flight model isn’t one of them.
Also noted that the RPM gauges read incorrectly as in every rotation of the small gauge should line the large gauge needle up with an even ten number, but it doesn’t. Also the speed brake has no effect at all.
And I can’t assign the heading bug to anything, the F18 also has this problem now, but other aircraft work fine.
Hopefully these issues will be addressed.
I made a custom Sensitivity profile for the F-111 and found this made the flight controls ok. My customs settings were more aggressive than other aircraft needed.
Yeah, I feel like I shouldn’t need to as my settings work fine on other aircraft, but I might give it a go and see how it is.
Agreed, the F-111 is quite off the mark compared to other military aircraft. But at least I enjoy flying it now. Iirc the developer is based in the Ukraine, so I expect they have other pressing life issues to deal with? ![]()
Any update on when we’re going to get a NAV hold option to switch to GPS course?
