Was this by any chance during the bush trip? I tried to start it tonight and ran out of fuel soon after takeoff (and toggling crossfeed had no effect). Turns out it’s a known issue on Discord and a fix should be incoming soon.
This was just in a normal flight trying to match speeds with a friend in a cessna, tanks nearly full, after maybe an hour in the air.
I added a new texture via flightsim.to.
Grumman Goose NC1200V - Police - City of New York.

@OzWookiee Is there any ETA on 1.0.4 in the MSFS Marketplace? I checked the changelog on the store page and it seems to show 1.0.3 as the latest available*
*Though these changelog pages are notoriously broken across the board so not sure.
Thanks.
On Discord the dev said the update has been sent to the testers.
I saw your NY police livery on flightsim.to the other day and was struck by the color. I’ve always expected police vehicles (in the US at least) to be either black and white or blue.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that NYPD patrol cars of this era were also at least partially green, and remained so for some time after! NYPD Green | Hemmings
NH are Green and Brown
I grew up in New York in the 60s and 70s and remember the green and black cars - and then the transition to the light blue ones, as shown in the second picture in your link.
I liked the light blue ones. They had something distinctive. The new white ones don’t look like Police at all. More like someone put an advert for a cleaning service on the side of the car. ![]()
I’m happy that the texture pleases you.
There’s a restored one (N644R) at the Floyd Bennett Field museum.
Police N.Y. web site is a good reference.
Btw. the Goose is on sale in the Orbx store for less than $14: https://orbxdirect.com/product/bigradials-grumman-goose
A must for any vintage aviation or seaplane fan at this price.
The bush trip is completely borked for me now. I had vaguely followed that there were issues with the bush trip disappearing at some point, but I had not been flying MSFS for a while and today I’ve just gone back to it to continue my bush trip, and everything seems broken: the vfr map doesn’t show the path, and the text description of the each POI is completely bugged (it doesn’t show the normal text but some other text referring to the mission and some numbers). Restarting the previous step of the bush trip (which usually fixed map issues before) didn’t help - that previous leg was bugged too.
That’s with an OrbX store purchase. Is this a known bug currently or am I being unlucky? This was my favourite bush trip and I was really looking forward to continue it…
edit The only way I get the bush trip to work is to restart leg 1. If I try any other leg, it’s all totally broken.
It looks like that:
I THINK that’s an issue with the sim, especially if it works ok with legs 1 but not others. Got another update coming out once it passes through our testers that will fix up fuel pressure and some internal changes with the bushtrip.
And the update is out. Got an email for v1.04d
And we have fuel pressure!
edit:
Learnt something important today. The battery in the Goose lasts just over an hour and a half with all lights on etc. before dying if you forget to turn the generators on.
Gone fishing until someone can give me a jump start in Buttle Lake
At least you can eat… That’s a plus
I was suspecting the sim itself was the culprit there. It’s such a pain though - sometimes it’s possible to fix bush trip corruption by going back one leg, but in this case it’s game over for me as my only option seems to restart from the beginning - I guess I’ll fly the remaining legs in free flight…
This is a great airplane and fun to fly. Did the bush trip, with many restarts, a while back.
I have a question related to navigation. Is there a instrument on the plane that points to NAV1 when set?
v1.0 of the manual shows

Compass: Indicates your magnetic heading. The dial is fixed North up, the thin needle shows your current heading. The wide needle shows the direction to the radio navigation station, if you have one dialled in.
v1.02 shows

Compass: Indicates your magnetic heading. The dial is fixed North up, the thin needle shows
your current heading. The wide needle points to your reference heading, selected via the rotary
knob below the compass.
To get around this, I cheat and use Skyelite found on Aerosoft that provides supplemental displays on tablets:

Just curious.
As I said great plane
Can anyone post the most recent patch notes, or better yet explain where I can find the patch notes if I own it through Orbx? The Orbx manual is always 1.0 and there aren’t any other docs that I can see. the version text file in the root directory just says the mod name and version and nothing else
