I was intrigued by the information that Microsoft doesn’t allow aircraft with weapons in the Marketplace. Any ideia on why? It’s not like they could be used for more than cosmetic reasons…
They also removed the Presidents’ faces at Mt Rushmore. I noticed that when the President went to speak there and I flew the area to see what it looked like from the air.
Thats probably automated by Bing maps. I know google maps recognizes faces and blurs automatically.
Weapons can be a big deal in the sim. Each bullet fired from a gun is considered a separate object that has to be tracked. If the gun fires 2000 rounds a minute, that’s a lot of objects to track. Get a couple of planes in the same area and you have a multitude more.
They could track every 5th or whatever but it’s easier to just keep them out of the sim.
