Yeah I agree. I used it as the ultimate stress test for that reason. I really am starting to think that the in game fps monitor, while accurate, is not the thing to judge the game by. Because of the DLSS stuff I think you get more frames than it shows and the reason I crank the settings is to give the GPU something to do.
Since I posted this, I have cranked the settings more and more and turned the FPS counter off. All that red is just stressful. Is the game great and is it smooth, yes! Really smooth! I couldnt tell you if its 30 or 60 frames to be honest. Sometimes i flick to the windows gamebar fps and its telling me way higher than the in game fps (because of DLSS3 I believe).
I only every play around with these things because I do want to know I am getting the most out of my hardware. I feel I am at that point now, so its time to just enjoy it
