Been there and felt that. I did get a refund the first time around. I did persevere, however… when it works, its worth it… even though the physics need a lot of work.
I also had issues with it running on my laptop and other systems. It did work though I turned off any settings that would reference a local install (like Scenery Cache location, Page File settings etc.)
I was able to run the same game from 2 machines from V1 (midnight of launch) so it does work.
Nuke the machine and start over if that is what it will take.
Sign up for Game Pass and install via that route. Last option… maybe they can convert you over.
