I’ve assigned a button on my joystick to answer ATC. The most common used ATC response i ATC Choice 1. However when the mouse disappears MSFS will not register that I pushed the button. This is most annoying during take off when ATC asks you to switch to departure, as I have to fly the plane, and also move the mouse to activate it at the same time.
Is there anyway to fix this ?
I have a numeric keypad layout on my Streamdeck XL for this. You just press the number key and not use the mouse at all. So you could assign “1” to the joystick button if you wanted.
Whether mouse cursor is displayed or not does not matter. What matter is that the cursor must be an arrow, not a hand with index finger extended. If you leave it over a button/switch the game stops accepting controller bindings for ATC. It’s an old bug that never was addressed by Asobo. When you stop using the mouse just move the cursor over a window or some other place away from buttons and switches.
