Hello,
wow I have just seen in a video how good the 737 NG cockpit would look like with these two upper “eyebrow windows” not covered as usual.
This looks beyond impressive and gives the cockpit a fantastic panorama view to the stars when night flying, and a perfect vision outside to the airport while flying the steep curves during the final landing approach.
What do you think: Will PMDG bless us with uncovered eyebrow windows?
I know this is not exactly conform with reality because only military versions of the 737 like the T-43 Surveiller have these eyebrow windows not covered with something, but it would look gorgeous if open or covered upper windows could be chosen on the Electronic Flight Bag tablet screen

If I recall right, it was a selectable option in the version for ‘the other simulator’
That “other simulator” is not so bad and outdated as you might think but because it is not on Steam and never on sale I have never bought it.
The focus is fully on realism and airliners and interesting study-level planes, one almost melts of enviousness when seeing the broad spectrum of study-level airliners available there (Yes you get ALL the Boeings - even rare and older ones like the 727). The rolling on the runway gives super-realistic camera shaking, and it looks … hmmm… not so bad.
Almost like a modded FSX, you know with OrbX scenery and REX clouds and all this nostalgic modding stuff we all tried to use to make the 15 year old completely outdated FSX graphics looking good somehow back in the days.
But because the graphics is outdated I am not going to pay 80 Dollars or so for that other simulator, 30 would be a fair price ( plus one must buy 1 or 2 study level planes, even Captain Sim has study level planes and a REAL 757 and 777 there to offer. Only a handful of stupid arcade-planes with worse graphics quality than FSX are pre-installed when getting a fresh Prepar3D install, and no one wants to fly these stock vanilla planes so payware is a must in Prepar3D.
Only X-Plane has an awesome Zibo 737 with rather ugly low quality textures, and a good MD80 pre-installed when getting a fresh vanilla install, and FS20 has some beautyful Cessnas and the Daher TBM930 and the cool Pipistrel Virus when buying Premium or Deluxe.)
I have asked in the PMDG forum if the new 737 will offer the possibility to uncover the eyebrow window, and they said that the 737NG PMDG made ten years ago for FSX Prepar3D and so on has this feature in the flight tablet to the left of the pilots seat, but they don´t know if this feature will also be implemented in the new 737 iteration too.
Well let us hope so because these panorama window style cockpit looks absolutely FANTASTIC and I love to fly it, the 737 from Flight Sim 2004 had this window layout with this huge panorama view
