I use DX12 and I (surprisingly) get the same results - a tad illogical !!

what are your system specs? You have a bottleneck somewhere. Commonly it’s a high end GPU with a old model CPU (ex 9th gen Intel + 3090 ti)
Post your game settings as well. Certain settings will tank a system regardless of it’s specs (TLOD and clouds are two bigger ones)
Yup … if the cpu can’t process data fast enough all the gpu can do is wait.
I have high end settings, intel i7 8700 3.5ghz, 32g ram, nvidia 1080 12gigs ram, and test all resolutions above 800x600 all have 20 22 fps
Change Anti Aliasing to TAA and see if it is different.
Ok, so main problem was cpu usage last days like 95 100% during msfs, and i see that aplication ms telemetry service is using 15% , so when i end task i get better performance now, cpu usage is like 60 65% and fps at 35 39
I also have the GTX1080 and only notice that when I active developer mode and a tool (project editor, scenery editor, inspector…) moves outside the main sim window. Don’t know if you use something similar.
No, i never use dev mode. My problem was cpu usage was pretty high because of this windows telemetry service
Mainthread limited - the CPU is the bottleneck. You probably have terrain LOD set high (200 or higher) to be that mainthread limited.
That’s not high end in 2022. I would turn down some of your settings and not be overly optimistic on what your PC can handle, especially terrain LOD.
I mean high end settings, but as i said cpu was 100 95% usage which makes slow down sim. This windows telemetry service working in background use 25% and that cloged me
