Im starting to fly more GA aircraft and like flying VFR, I set a short route recently and used google maps but its not ideal as I have to keep checking map and fs to make sure Im on correct course.
Is there an app that can track my flight for xbox?
It won’t link with the sim, however, there are maps that can really help you locate where you are when flying VFR. I use it to compare what I see out the window to the shapes of roadways, bodies of water, mountains, landmarks, etc.
I also use the FAA VFR chart of the entire USA to reference VOR frequencies and radials, along with everything else that the chart includes.
I use the VFR and IFR airways maps for route planning IFR flights.
There’s a website, and apps for phones and tablets.
To gain access to all of the features, there are paid plans. I stumbled over the aviation maps, because I have a subscription to GaiaGPS for use with my 4WD when I’m overlanding and on excursions.
I just wish you could insert your Flight Simulator username and an app could track where you were on the map using the online services. Sounds great in my head lol
Linking the username to an external map would open up a whole world of possibilities for us X-Box users. I can’t see any reason why this could not be done as MS knows where each user is if they are online.
