As the title implies I am looking forward to the updates because they are always interesting in that there are things that are good and sometimes bad. I have been lucky and not had any problems so far so I should be looking forward to it.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Looking forward to it because any improvements, enhancements, and/or new features are always welcome.
All I want is for lights to look good in ultra wide multi monitor, nothing else, afaic itās step one.
Everything else I can deal with enough that Iām happy through monitor placement and Track-Ir
Iām trying to not get my hopes up too much, but if the have proper FAA phraseology, no fly backs to the approach fix, and proper vectors to final, Iāll be stoked.
All these are said to be in this upcoming update.
Again, not trying to get my hopes up though.
Yes, im hoping the beta testers can catch any major bugs.
The last update deleted my logbook(still a little bitter about that), so Iām hoping nothing nefarious is going to happen after the next update
What this Sim NEEDS SOON is AFIS at smaller aerodromes.
Airports with TWR respond to announcements and requests. OK for jet liner flyers.
Us GA flyers just get silence from provincial aerodromes that have AFIS in real life.
Looking forward to it. Iām not one who prefers a comfort zone. I like and welcome change whatever the form. Itās the only way for progress to happen. Failures and issues are merely delayed success.
There is not much in this update to excite me, so I am only expecting some ball ache when Asobo manage to break something or even render the sim unusable for a couple of weeks.
That said, the update may install with no fuss, performance will improve, nothing will get broken, we may get something exciting that we were not expecting. and ![]()

Personally Iād like the option to be able to delay it to a day/time convenient for me and still be able to use the SIM in the interim.
You can do that⦠You just need to open the Sim, before the update rolls out and keep the Sim running. That way, as long as your sim is running even when the update is rolled out, you can keep flying and use the sim in the interim.
Theoretically, you can even delay it for days by keeping the sim running without closing it or shutting down the PC.
Iāve been through a few flights where I was in the middle of a flight then the update rolls out, but I still keep flying while everyone else is already getting the update.
Thatās okay - until your flight comes across something, e.g. scenery, thatās server-based and has been changed in the update. Yes I know thatās probably unlikely but I guess itās an easy route to a CTD!
But never mind me, Iām an old cynic!
Roll it on MS/Asobo, letās see what the āboys and girlsā have to offer us this time around.
Itās not so much the Beta Testers catching the Bugs as it is Asobo actually listening and then fixing them, if this update comes out with glaringly obvious issues 5minutes after using it (like the last update and every update before itā¦!) then Iām gonna be very disappointed.
There simply are no more excuses any more with a Beta Team (albeit small), over to you Asobo.
I totally agree with this post, the comfort zone is stimulated by possible change.
Canāt wait. Any World updates are welcome.
But the next one isnāt a world update. But a sim update. Changes to flight dynamics, fundamental base code, bug fixes, or even new feature.. But minimal content update thatās usually reserved for the World Updates.
There are quite a few fixes in the feedback snapshot that are lined up for this SU. For me the most important one is the silly u-turn approach bug, hopefully it gets fixed. As always, there will be a ton of other small fixes. Always welcome, hope there are no regressions, but even so, bugs need to be fixed.
This forum is plagued with complaints of CTDās. I get them too. I donāt care about anything else. Just get that fixed!
I agree to @Mayhem6633 100%!!! For me the game has gotten pretty much useless with all the CDTāsš© I love the sim so much, especially in VR. I hope theyāll get fixed with SU4, even though my hopes are not very highš
The CTDās are curable on the user end for me, I lost 200mhz on my overclock and had to overvolt my memory by a smidge from stock but since then the sim is rock solid.
(I can get it to crash messing around with things on other screens while in flight, editing screen shots listening to music and having the task manager and two instances of resource manger running can be too much)
