I think you should plan a trip. Select a plane and fly from point A to point B but do it over multiple trips like a Cessna 172 from Montreal to Buenos Aires or a the TBM from Moscow to Beijing, or an Icon A5 from John O’Groats to Lands End.
The only sligjht issue being cold and dark starts with large flight plans I think can introduce stutters but I think there are workarounds for this.
