Anyone have any favorite resources explaining what's going on mechanically behind various complex aircraft systems?

Thinking like a walkthrough of what’s what, in YouTube or text format. I can follow startup sequences via checklist but it’d be great to get some more color as to what’s going on with these jet engines step by step. A quick search didn’t yield what I was looking for. Thanks!

Hot part goes in the back.

Link is for FAA publication… “Transition to jet powered airplanes”.

This is exactly what I was in search of. Thanks so much.

If the Boeing 737 interests you then this site is THE place for deep technical info on the airplane (from the original 1960s jet to the MAX). Written and actively maintained by a real world 737 Captain. There is also a YT channel with lengthy videos.
