Anyway to disable the cockpit view change animation (Transition) to instant snap for Standard or Custom views?

Like the title states, is there a way to disable the transition animation of moving around through the cockpit to different instrument views or custom set views?

I prefer instant snap to a view. It’s quicker and less headache inducing for me.
I’ve also set some of my custom cameras to outside/window and when I load the custom camera, I don’t want the animation of camera going through the plane and to the window.

Wondering if anyone else has tried to edit this through camera config file or something. I tried changing the “Transition” value to “NO” in the plane’s Cameras.cfg file but that didn’t do anything, it still had the transition animations.

Thanks in advance.

I’d like them to fix that double take you do when switching views to the left 120 position. It seems like it may be per aircraft, but in some you will initially look at right 45 for a split second before looking over your left shoulder.

Instant snap would be a nice option to have. Not sure if that can be tweaked in cameras.cfg?

I looked at the camera.cfg files, they are very similar to (if not same as) FSX camera.cfg files. Normally in FSX, you could set the Transition value to No and it would not have the transition effect. I tried this on main and per aircraft camera cfg and nothing happened.

Yes there is.

Do you know how?

Oops. I guess I was lying. I’ve never touched it until now. It has no discernable affect that I can see.

In Options - General - Camera - ( Dial the Freelook Speed all the way up)

Sorry to get your hopes up. I figured that MS/Asobo wouldn’t have nonfunctional features in a menu. Dopey me.

Does that mean that Options - General - Camera - Home Cockpit Mode is useless, too?
