Still not fix in latest release

Are you sure you updated? I’m not able to reproduce it anywhere.

Can you give an example of an airport that this is still happening at, in which you can also see the transitions listed on the World Map prior to flight?

I am sure i am using latest beta update. Still effect at ZSAM when using FQG91A arr and ILS appr Z rwy 05. Can’t see Trans XLN. But if i use world map to create a flight plan and XLN will show in FMC ARR PAGE as Trans.

Using Navigraph navdata 2305 rev.1

Here’s an example:

  • Using default sim navdata
  • KSFO ILS 28R via SIDBY

Approaches via SIDBY are Only for RNAV(and GLS) approaches. There are no options for ILS landing procedures. :frowning:

Also ZSAM issue is same. XLN can be selected only for ILS Y method not for ILS Z. :frowning:

Then the sim needs to be fixed, because the default ATC with default navdata flying a premium default aircraft is assigning it as such.

We, the end user, cannot be expected to know how to workaround this and less informed users than myself are going to run into this problem.

I hope that we can see all of procedures in the game map without other applications.

I’m no expert, by any means, but why would the FAA’s chart for KSFO ILS 28R have SIDBY shown as an IAF, if it isn’t an IAF?

I am not expert too.
So When I find what I don’t know, I study about that.

If I coundn’t find the transition as my expection, I would input direct waypoint for landing approach at FMC.

I like flight games.
But These games need my nosebleed. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I’m clever enough to just use EDDYY as my IAF, but there may not always be a “clean” alternative to what ATC has assigned. Furthermore, there are pilots of all skill levels who will be operating the sim and the 787 along with it.

The navdata, ATC and the aircraft need to be in sync

Yes yes.
Specially In game ATC should have more functions. :slightly_smiling_face:

Apologies for being “that guy”, but I think you would best be served if you asked that question elsewhere. It really doesn’t seem to apply to this thread’s main topic.

If I were you, I would fly to final vector using MCP knobs such as heading knob and you know what I mean. :sunglasses:

Or You can make custom waypoint.

I made one video for you, darealj2.

It is one of arrival procedures for KDCA RWY01 and it has a radar vector.
I erased radar vector and made custom waypoint.

Format is ‘Name of the waypointXXX/Y’. XXX is bearing and Y is distance from the waypoint.
I did input ‘KATRN180/3’. It means ‘Make a point 180 degree, 3nm from KATRN’.

I hope your happy flight.
