On Tuesday 14th I loaded the sim and then got a message stating a mandatory update was available for download; so I downloaded (there were I think 3 separate updates) everything got updated which showed 1.26.5.0. I check my Content manager and continued to update any remaining new sceneries. All looked good I then went on to do a full 3 hour flight with no issues.
On Wednesday 15th. I loaded the sim and got a message again that a Mandatory update was available however, this time I was directed to go to the MS store to download the update. I then went to the MS store downloaded updates (all) and then went to the app in the store which said updates were pending which i did and there were 3 updates like I did previously via the in sim update
So my question is. why would I get requests for 2 separate mandatory updates. I could understand if I get the 1st mandatory request to update the app in the store and then the follow up update request once I launch the app. It seems like it just repeated the update to the app in the store .
Maybe that’s the way it works, just wanted to confirm if it’s nothing unusual. I am using Premium / Deluxe version.
The update process seems to change and is confusing. For me (on PC) I had a mandatory update which started after I fired up MSFS and took longer and downloaded a lot (more than 2GB?) - so I thought that included WU10. However it just upgraded to 1.26.5.0. So in Content Manager I then downloaded WU10, plus other packages (including the DeLuxe package) needed to be downloaded as well. So for me, 2 big updates but only the first was mandatory - although I’m not sure why the DeLuxe package update wasn’t mandatory. As I said, confusing.
There are several that will need to be done. You’ll update when the game initially loads and you’ll also update several content packs in the content manager when it’s loaded. Make sure the folder it’s updating is set correctly before starting the first one.
Yeah, everything seems to go smoothly for the past 2 updates and then out of the blue this past update things go off. The update via the sim seems to go well but then there seems to be an “out of sync” update with the Store App, which happened before. Attached photo of the Error Message. Mind you, I did get multiple update messages “requests” via the sim like AndyClark20 stated.
All content manager folders are up to date and the sim seems to be working fine, so again the update process seems to be a little confusing at times.
